DIY Large Cottage Sign

   We named our home Oak Cottage as soon as we found it. It was about time it had a proper sign!

I shared our large DIY Peace Sign that I made at Christmas…….and even then I was trying to think of what I might want to put on the other side. That way, we could use the sign not only at Christmas; but for other times of the year.

For the Christmas Peace Sign I put the letters going vertical down the board…..for the other sign I painted the letters horizontally, even though I still stand the sign up vertically. {It could be sued horizontally, too…..}

We are using it on our front porch for the summer……

I used the same technique that I used to make the Peace Sign….you can find that tutorial here.

I used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint “Provence” for the letters and then distressed it the same way I did on the other sign.

So, now we have one sign that serves two purposed…..red “Peace” on one side, and lovely blue “Oak Cottage” on the other!

Do you love signs as much as I do? I love words…….

Happy Monday~
