Christmas Journaling Day…..

I shared last year in this post how we have a family tradition…..A Christmas Journal.

Each year we take turns writing an entry in the journal….whatever each of would like to share about the Christmas season that we just had. When the kids were little they would just scribble or draw pictures. It’s fun to go back and look over everyone’s entries.

That’s what we will be doing today….

Do you have any kind of family journal that everyone takes part in?

Blessings~

What are some examples of the entries? I ask because I’m wondering how much time is needed to focus on your particular statement or essay…

    • Hi, Margaret….it is totally up to each person. Some entries are just a small paragraph, and some are more than a page. It’s whatever each person wants to share about Christmas. =) It’s a great tradition.

  4. I love this idea! I was just wondering where you got the fabulous red journal in the photograph?

  5. I’ve been keeping a Christmas journal for over thirty years. I bought the initial Christmas journal when my children were small. The book had a place for a family photo, the year’s Christmas card as well as sections for writing about the holiday, etc. I expanded it by writing my yearly “letter” which includes the highlights of the year for our family including births, marriages, job changes, activities, graduations, vacations etc. (I also include any house projects we completed.) it has become a wonderful diary of family history.

    • Oh, I love that, Linda!=) What a great testimony about such a fun family tradition. I love the way you guys do it. I hope you are having a wonderful Christmas!
