We love to travel….and have many favorite places that we’ve been. I thought I would share a few of our favorite summer places to visit that we’ve enjoyed visiting through the years as a family. These are by no means ALL of them, just a few.
We absolutely LOVE Vermont…..and planned to move there; but when we found out we were expecting we realized that would mean that our children would never get to see family. We would still love to live here…..
We always stay in Stowe, VT
Kentucky is also a wonderful family vacation….beautiful and so many neat adventures to be had…….
Cape May is by far our very favorite beach at this point. We just love it….and return to it each summer that we can…..
Where we always stay…The Inn of Cape May
Just this past weekend we went to Ocracoke Island…off the coast of NC. Infamous for many reasons…but probably the best known would be as the spot that Blackbeard the Pirate loved….and lost his head. Literally.
The mountains are where we feel most at home. Our soul rests and just nestles in……we love western NC and go in every season, as often as possible. We haven’t completely shelved our dream of moving there ASAP.
It’s our kind of place…..
Where are some of your favorite spots? Would love to hear about them!
May your adventures always be great~

Have to agree with you on the Kentucky thing! Grew up in Lexington and went to the Horse Park often.
Aaaahhh, yes! I also love Chevy Chase….it’s such a fun little area.
Love Cape May! I grew up going there with my grandparents! Miss it!
Isn’t it wonderful!? We didn’t make it this year and miss it!
Love Vermont, Used to live in Guilford Vt., a sleepy lil town bordering Brattleboro.A great place to start my writing career. Ample Thriftiing of second hand stores , wonderful people and always beautiful scenery.Opps! forgot to mention very cold in the winter. A far cry where I live now Florida, where it’s uncomfortably hot and the mosquitoes will hunt you down. Florida is a great place for a winter vacation where you will find perfect weather and lots of fun.
Oh how fun, Lisa! It is cold in VT….but I think it’s better than the humidity here! eek!
